@greek_paris_13311Apr 15, 2026, 18:52 UTCThe oldest paved road you can walk in Europe is the Minoan Royal Road in Crete, Greece, which is over 3.500 years old. A 50km roadway connecting the ancient sites of Knossos, Gortyn & Lebena. If you go to Knossos, you will step exactly where the Minoans walked 3.500 years ago. https://t.co/meNmk8O6Oy

@Aaagiiisss111Apr 15, 2026, 21:19 UTCAlexander, wishing to receive an oracle from the god concerning his campaign, went to Delphi. But by chance, those days were inauspicious (Αποφράδες ημέραι), and it was not proper for oracles to be given during them. He first sent a messenger to beg the Pythia (the priestess). However, since she refused and cited the law as her reason, he himself went up to the temple and urgently pressed her. She, as if overcome by his insistence and haste, said to him: "ἀνίκητος εἶ ὦ παῖ" "You are invincible, my son." After hearing this, Alexander said that he no longer needed any other oracle, he had already received from her the oracle he wanted. (Source: Plutarch, Alexander) Alexander never lost a single battle in his entire life. He remained completely undefeated from his first campaign in 335 BC until his death in 323 BC.
@nickthegreek5111Apr 16, 2026, 21:50 UTCThe Greek Evzone never bows his head. The only moment he lowers his head and his weapon is on Good Friday, when the Epitaphios passes in front of him. The Evzone mourns. https://t.co/Mecr5cdt8R
@Aaagiiisss111Apr 17, 2026, 04:44 UTCJust before the Greek Revolution of 1821, the Greeks had begun naming their children with ancient Greek names. There was a surge in names like Odysseus, Leonidas, Achilles, Alexander. When the Albanian Muslim Ali Pasha noticed this, he said: "The Greeks are preparing something."
